friends, one of their new friends, an outcast named Odalee, teaches them
how to play his musical instrument; the mookaluke. Children will learn the
importance of acceptance and understand how 'cool' each and every
character is despite any physical differences they may appear to have.

Noteworthy Durples News:
“A great book with a potent message, exciting characters and a storyline
that will keep children interested. The mookaluke will capture the interest
of even the at-risk students. The important anti-bullying message was
clearly dealt with in a manner that all children will understand.”
– Deloris Jack, ESPB Librarian & Teacher, Canada
